Welcome to the Ontario Lightning Hockey Development program, Ontario’s newest and finest developmental program. The newest addition to the ever expanding Ontario Lightning Hockey Clubs family, we offer élite Canadian hockey players a chance to flourish within all encompassing and well rounded development programs.
Our Six ProgramsJunior AOur Junior A team, the Ontario Lightning Rams, encourages development of those who hope to play hockey in U.S. Division I and Division III colleges. Prospects AAAOur Prospects AAA team, the Ontario Lightning, is a Major Bantam (1993) Spring Team, with training all summer for their individual team’s upcoming season. CampsOur hockey camps enhance the physical and mental development of players for their minor hockey years ... and beyond. College ScholarshipOur college scholarship program prepares players to advance to college hockey, with focused training, games, education monitoring, and seminars with scouts and hockey directors. TrainingOur training program will truly enhance player development, under the guidance of Bob Thom, head coach, Brent Duprey, player development, and Dan Blackburn, human performance. FoundationThe Ontario Lightning Hockey Clubs Foundation is being created to encourage our youth of today to raise hope in reaching their goals and aspirations. |
NewsMay 7: the Ontario Lightning Hockey Clubs announce a July 11th fund-raising golf tournament to help raise money for the OLHC Foundation. For those who wish to help out by playing in the tournament, a registration letter & form is available {PDF document}. Apr 14: Spring Challenge Cup : a detailed report {PDF file} is available about this tournament, in which our Prospects AAA team defeated Austria 14-0 to win the Bronze medal in the Spring Challenge Cup, in Prague; our team won 4 of 5 games, outscoring our opponents 38-7. Feb 2: College Scholarship Program : information about our new College Scholarship Program has been added.
